This is Halloween, this is Halloween Pumpkins scream in the dead of night.

Boys and girls of every age,
Wouldn’t you like to see something strange…

Well… it’s not really strange, just a pumpkin I carved with a medical scalpel.
Moving on, this is Halloween! Or it was, according to my Nightmare before Christmas lyrics.

So another Halloween has passed, and this year like every other year, I wanted to carve a pumpkin. So 2 days before Halloween I went out and got myself a pumpkin. As this was the first pumpkin I’ve ever carved, me being me, I wanted to do something out of the ordinary. It was clearly a spur of a moment decision with no prior planning considering I had no carving tools what so ever. So hey, I thought “Let’s improvise!”.

Below you can see the fruits of my labour. A design of a tattoo I found on google, adjusted so the appropriate holes could be removed without the whole thing falling apart.

I hope you like it; hopefully it may inspire you next year. I know I definitely want to try this again next Halloween.

Tools: Medical scalpel. Time: Under 2 hours.
